this motel would have gotten five stars, If my review would have reflected the staff alone especially Mrs. Maggie.
for reference I’ve stayed here for about 10 days.
The building itself is pretty old and there are three floors with one elevator in the middle and three staircases on each side of the building and in the middle.
Each room has one large window That can be opened just a few inches to get in fresh air without letting in unwanted strangers.
There is a laundry room next to the front desk with about six washing machines and six dryers, each machine charges about $3 per wash.
The longer you stay the less you’ll be paying per night. One night is about $65 (as of March 2024)But if you’re staying for a month for example, one night goes down to about $35 per night. If you have a pet, it’s an extra $10 a night. Each room has a bed, A nightstand, a desk with a very dirty chair on wheels covered in white stains…another chair, an old TV, a small office fridge ,a small kitchen sink, two Electric stovetops, and a small microwave.I’ve seen many reviews complaining about the rooms condition, smell, cleanliness, etc. which I personally don’t understand. People are paying a fraction of what they would pay at a high end hotel, but are expecting to get the same service as if they are paying in the hundreds if not thousands of dollars per night.
To say that I haven’t experienced any problems wouldn’t be true
The first room I got was either occupied by someone else or never been cleaned before I got the room.
when I first entered I found a used cup on the table, bed sheets were untucked and dirty, garbage‘s were full and more. But Mr. Ruby who is very professional and kind by the way- apologized and gave me a different room on the third floor right away. The new room was cleaned to a degree, but when I untucked my sheets, I discovered dirt and unidentified “stuff” on the sheets. Since it was already midnight I decided to sleep my first night on top of the covers. The next day I met Mrs. Maggie. She is AMAZING! besides of professional appearance and manners she really gives you the feeling that she cares.
She gave me a discount for the first night and changed my sheets.
My room had a very strong smell of cigarettes and weed, even though it is a non-smoking room.
I sterilized everything I could, and sprayed Lysol air sanitizer, at least once a day, which helped reducing the smell.
If you want clean towels, sheets, new garbage bags, more toilet paper or shampoo, you need to go to the front desk and ask for it.
There is a housekeeping service for an additional fee or if you’re staying for more than a week you get it for free supposedly once a week. I stayed two weeks and no housekeeping stopped by.
But if you have your own broom and floor mop, it’s not too bad.
one of the two stove tops I had was broken, so that left me with one operative stove top.
I’ve read about 12 negative reviews referring to the hot water situation, and at first when I hopped in the shower and turned the handle all the way to the left as someone would normally do there was no hot water… I waited for over 20 minutes with no change. then I tried all the way to the right for about 20 minutes, also cold water with no change.
But I figured it out! I’m not sure if it’s in every room or just in room 305- BUT IF YOU WANT HOT WATER YOU NEED TO TURN THE HANDLE TO THE MIDDLE!!Not all the way to the left/right…I hope that helps future residents.
Supposedly there should be free breakfast every morning that consists of coffee, tea, oatmeal, and a muffin. When I was there the only thing they had every morning was tea for all 10 days. They told me they have ordered the rest, but it was being delayed…
I did have three incidents of people knocking on my door, one time in the middle of the night, but that was about it. Overall I would recommend staying here, if just for the staff alone. You do get what you pay for as far as the rooms go, and there are some other in the area that are about the same price if you’re staying for less than a week.
But overall, it’s a good option.

This is my second review, somehow my 1st one mysteriously disappeared. Since day one I've had issues, the only reason I didn't turn around and leave was because I have no transportation no other place to go, and I was dropped off with all my belongings. Upon check in my reservation was lost, had to create a new one, that took about 3 hours. While waiting I needed to put my belongings in the room however the room was not ready because my reservation was lost. Yes they allowed me to use another room but charged me 10 bucks for using it for 15 min. (Maggie did reimburse that). Upon arrival to our room, there was no cold water in the kitchen sink and the stove had two burners with one of the eyes missing, no pots and pans or any dishes available. I was told they ordered some, this was 2/3/24. We still do not have dishes/pots. A few days later it got cold and the heater did not work, their solution was to come to the office and get a blanket. I was told housekeeping would clean every other week, they have cleaned my room a total of three times in over a month. When it was time for me to pay for my room (on several occasions) I was told that I would have to return when Maggie got there because that particular staff said they were not trained on how to let me pay for my room, one particular incident I had no time to wait for Maggie to get there and had to be to work and asked if they could leave her a msg that I tried to pay but the pc wasn't working, well they never relayed that message and by the afternoon my son was calling me at work saying that the staff was threatening to call HPD on him if he did not vacate the room. The bathroom light went out, still waiting on that to get fixed I just purchased a lamp and have been using that. The roaches and ants are extremely disgusting and unbearable to live with, the chairs have white stains on them that looks like some nasty white substance. Yesterday was the final straw as I opened the fridge not only was it a dead roach but it was one that was alive crawling all over my food. None of the washing machines work, I went to wash clothes to find that out and had to spend more money on Uber to get to a laundromat. No ice machine, and the snacks and drinks in the vending machine are 2.50 and up. Oh, and the phone charges to make outgoing calls. Overall staying here while my apartment is getting ready has been horrific, almost traumatizing. I chose this location because it's close to my job and I wanted to be able to be more comfy and cook instead of using a microwave. This was the worse decision I have ever made and I pray that I am checking out in the morning as my apartment should be ready. I would not recommend staying here at all. If you don't mind dirt and roaches and paying for amenities that don't exist then this is the place for you.
