Pets are always welcome at Extended Stay America. A maximum of two pets are allowed in each suite. A $25 (+ tax) per day, per pet non-refundable cleaning fee for the first six (6) nights. Each day thereafter is a $10 non-refundable fee (+tax) per day, per pet. This fee includes visiting pets. This fee is to cover the cost of cleaning and fumigating the guest room. The first seven (7) nights are payable the first night of your stay and is charged at check-in. Service animals will be exempt from this charge. Height and length restrictions apply: pets can be no longer than 36 inches and no taller than 36 inches. Undeclared pets will be charged $200 in addition to the applicable pet fees. Larger animals or more than two pets requires property manager’s approval. Please contact the property for questions. Pet fee is subject to change.

Advance Purchase (AP) reservations are not cancellable except within 24 hours of the original booking. Cancelling your AP reservation more than 24 hours after the original time of booking, or failing to check-in on the date of arrival in your reservation, will forfeit the full amount (including tax) of your nonrefundable advance prepayment. Cancelling your Extended Plus Program (EPP) reservation more than 24 hours after the original time of booking, or failing to check-in on the arrival date in your EPP reservation, will forfeit the nonrefundable deposit equal to three nights’ room rate and tax. Reservations other than AP or EPP reservations may be cancelled by 6 pm local hotel time on the arrival date in your reservation. If you cancel such a reservation after 6 p.m. local time on the arrival date in your reservation, or fail to check in on that date, the first night’s stay (at quoted rate plus tax) will be charged as a No Show Fee to the credit card holding the reservation. Similar rules may apply to certain other special rates. Reservations are based on availability.

I sincerely don’t understand all these low reviews except that people have expectations that are disproportionate to what they’re booking.
This is my second weeklong stay at this particular extended stay and I have nothing but good things to say about it. I have a king room it’s nice and roomy a table a chair, a chest of drawers, a recliner, end, tables, and a decent kitchen. They give you whatever you need to cook with as well as plates, bowls, and utensils, dish soap, kitchen towels and drying rack the fridge is standard and large. The closet more than amply held all of my hanging clothes, There were a lot of nice lights in the room, and the bathroom was a good size. Emily, the manager at the front desk was super helpful and offers great service as well as the other members of the team.
I ended up getting sick when I was here and the comfortable bed, blackout drapes and the quietness of my room or a huge blessing. Yes, my room was quiet. I was on the second floor and room 211 right next to the elevator so it was super convenient or for the stairs which I used because I didn’t want to expose anyone else to my cold.
This will always be my go to in Carlsbad.
I needed to correct some of these reviews.

All I can say is that they don't offer a real breakfast they promote on all travel sites. It should be called a coffee bar instead.

❌ANGRY AGAIN ❌
I had to pay to unclog the bathtub! They didn't clean and canceled my second reservation, as my apartment wasn't ready until the 25th and would stay until the 11th, as I had already said and everything was fine. Today, after they saw that I complained here, they said that I couldn't continue after the 25th, because I hadn't paid yet until March 11th.
Absurd!!! Now what are you going to say? I’m sorry again???
-I've been staying here for almost a month, and I only managed to have the room cleaned once, which only made the bed and changed the towels. The bathtub is blocked, I can't take a shower here!

I'm staying at this hotel with my wife and we're having several problems, we even had to pay to unclog the bathtub! They don't clean and when they did it once, they changed the towels and made the bed. And to make matters worse, they canceled my second reservation, because my wife complained here, our apartment wasn't ready until the 25th and would stay until the 11th, as I had already discussed and everything was fine. Today, after they saw that we complained here, they said that we cannot continue after the 25th, because we had not yet paid until the 11th of March.
Absurd!!! Now what are you going to say? Are they going to apologize and not do anything? I have to pay to pack things and I still have to leave early because we complain? So give me my money back!

Front desk receptionist was of no help. We arrived having already received a confirmation email and text message of our stay. At the time of our arrival to only be notified our reservation couldn’t be honored because of we arrived at 1am yet there website allowed me to book. She was extremely rude and of no help and even said “go stay in the front hotel”. Also I was already charged to my bank account and she said they could only issue a refund not accommodate us for the stay or inconvenience on there end.
