Our family was in the middle of a move transition gap and had to come here for a few days while we tied up loose ends.
Mr. Alec was AMAZING and unforgettable! The first morning after an evening check-in, we went to grab the small breakfast they offered - he over heard my daughter a bit defeated over the lack-there-of muffin inventory and he came out and restocked the whole basket in front of her while having a conversation about her love of muffins. He told her to come back the same time the next morning and he would hook her up ☺️. So of course we went back to see her new friend and get her surprise (which was definitely the hook up of muffins and nutrigrain bars) and it made her so so so happy! He will be the reason we come back if we need to for any reason.
It’s pretty quiet. There’s a few people here and there that are loud but it’s not an all night thing. It’s a decent location to all American. Shopping centers. Cape fear hospital. Parking isn’t a brawl. Walls are thick as well as the floors.

1) ran out of toilet paper 2) the room was so filthy we had to clean it ourselves - requesting mop, bucket. I had to spend money on my own cleaning supplies. 3) anytime you call front desk, you are placed on hold for minutes at a time. I spent 14 minutes on hold!!!! Don't stay here. It's disgusting, smells like weed, is loud, and full of degenerates (both guests and employees). If it weren't for my job, I wouldn't stay here at all (my job pays for me on a monthly basis). Out of all the Extended Stays, this one ranks one level above the one in Fairfax, VA in terms of horridness.
Sorry, my wife wrote the above review for me (she wasn't even here with me). I will say that the employees were professional and courteous, the room had some notable deficiencies like kitchen and bathroom outlets had no electricity so I had to put my toaster on the desk, make toast, then disconnect. I also used the same outlet to charge electric toothbrush and power my water pik since no bathroom outlets. Microwave oven was broken (dish did not rotate so I had to manually rotate food at intervals), there were power fluctuations about every 2 days that caused refrigerator to defrost and did not keep my food cool (some went bad and had to discard), the room was gross, smelled like hotdogs so I bought my own mop/cleaners, wiped down a brown syrupy substance from the walls, cleaned out refrigerator and surfaces to standard. I had backup toilet paper for a day before they had new shipment so that wasn't too bad. Stayed for 6 weeks and never once had house cleaning stopped by. I thought they automatically freshen room every 2 wks? This is the only ESA where they never made an appearance for my entire stay. I didn't do any complaining because I figured that was just this venues standard and it would probably fall on deaf ears.

Alec, the front desk guy was the best but the room was GROSS!!!!! I wanted to add a picture because my feet were black after walking across the room. So sticky too! The bathroom fan was ungodly loud. I thought we were in a rocket ship!! The room smelled TERRIBLE. A nasty, musty smell. The AC/heater was pretty stinky too.
You also get nothing in your room. Just a dirty, stained ironing board. No hair dryer, no utensils not even a GD coffee pot!!! We learned this at 3am so we ate like cavemen; with out bare hands.
The room door also didn't close completely. You could probably pass plenty of things through the big gap on the side. It barely stayed shut; only if locked up.
I tried to do the survey for Alec, but the link was dead. That's not fair to your employee! He was the only redeeming quality this place has. OH and there is TRASH EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I even found someone's routing and checking numbers on the ground outside my door.
Needless to say, if you like sleeping on a concrete bed, not being able to breathe when you wake up (musty mildew mold), eating with your bare hand, sticking to the floors (wth Crystal??) and wanting to off yourself every time you turn on the bathroom light? This is the place for you. If you actually want an iota of comfort, go somewhere else!
