I am a travel nurse and stayed here till i could find an apartment when i walked into the room my jaw dropped. The room was disgusting the cabinets had not been wipe down nor the counter top, around the edges of the countertops was coming apart the carpet was disgusting with stain that I only cringe at what it may be. Thankfully the bed was clean. Don’t even get me started on the bathroom the vent looked like it may have wiped down when the mayflower sailed, there was hair on the bathroom ceiling, I mean how does that even happen. I went over to look out the window and they were not locked and slightly open I mean I’m on the bottom floor why would the windows not be locked the “kitchenette” was a sink a tiny microwave that had not been wiped out the handles on the refrigerator look liked they had been broken off. The stove were 2 hot plates. After the window incident I was actually concerned about my safety and automobile. There were sketchy ppl around the grounds to the point my dog would go out to go to the bathroom and want to come right back in the room. (Animals sense these things. One evening I took the dog out there was a chic in the stairwell with what looked like all of her belongings she stopped and asked me if I knew anyone who would want some animals later I took the dog out and there sat a pet crate with 2 cats scared to death a half bag of food and liter with a note on top that i believe she pulled it out of the garbage to write the note. I was at the end of the hall near the exit door which I was ok with easier to take the dog out but the dog could hear people in and out all night and of course he gets spiked “every time” and would bark or the ppl above me had heavy feet and the stomping spooked him and again he would start barking. One night (the only time I was out when it was dark” had to take the dog out and couldn’t get back in the door so I had to go all all the way around to the front entrance to have my key fixed I stood at the desk I know a good 5mins or so no one ever came out so I pick up the lobby phone to ring the front desk and a lady finally came from out of nowhere with a RBF and had the nerve to ask me if I had put my room key near a credit card I don’t know it’s in the middle of the night I didn’t look. The next day I asked my company to move me to a different hotel. So the last night I’m there I had set my trash by the door (which it sat there all day) I get a call from the front desk (which Im assuming RBF lady) tell me i can’t sit my trash in the hall and had slide a note under my door telling my i couldn’t put my trash out in the hall I could bring it down to the front desk and put it in the trash bin this is at midnight 🤬🤬🤬 hotel smells, it’s grungy, furniture is falling, smokers right at the front door of the building constantly, which was clearly marked NO SMOKING within so many feet of the doors, and your “free breakfast” was a muffin or granola bar really I can go to Walmart and get that no fruit, no cups for the coffee, no hot water for the tea or oatmeal packets displayed or anything else to put it in. This hotel is in a great area of Raleigh, but it’s not worth putting yourself in the middle of all the nastiness and definitely not worth the money you save, to potentially have your car broken in to, your personal safety jeopardized or get woken up about the Fu””c$&@ trash in the hall (it was a Walmart bag that was tied up) at midnight about it.
I am not one to do surveys or write a review about a hotel or any other place but this is by far the worst place I have ever stayed at (I have traveled a lot) I’m sorry this is very lengthy but this needs to be put out there and the public, the company and franchise need to know this and either fix it or shut it down, it was more like a low income housing ( I have no problem with ppl that have to live there) than a hotel. I will never recommend to stay at a ESA hotel to anyone. By the way I went to the store and bought bleach wipes and wiped everything down myself

clean place, the staff are friendly. Extra 100 dollar charge that you have to pay for deposit once you get to the hotel. No coffee pots at all and the breakfast is nasty.
