As Americans, one of our greatest responsibilities and privileges is voting. Our democracy stands on the foundation that your voice matters. Voting gives us the power to determine the quality of life we want for ourselves, our families and future generations.

Plan ahead.

  • Register to vote (online): For most states, you can register to vote online.* Voter registration deadlines vary by state; check the date for your state on the map below. 
  • Register to vote (by mail): States that don’t offer online voter registration include Arkansas, Montana, New Hampshire, Mississippi, North Dakota, South Dakota, Texas and Wyoming. If you live in a state that doesn’t allow online voter registration, you will need to search your state in the dropdown at vote.gov for specific instructions pertaining to your state. For guests in states that do not allow online registration, Extended Stay America will provide stamped envelopes to allow guests to submit voter registration forms by mail – just ask the front desk.
  • Plan ahead: Make a plan for what time you plan to vote on Election Day and make sure you know the route to your assigned polling place. Don't forget to bring the required forms of identification with you!
  • Save the date: Mark your calendar for Election Day on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
  • Spread the word: Encourage your friends and family to vote. Wear the sticker your polling place gives you proudly.

How can I register when I don’t have a computer in my room?

Most states offer online registration which can be completed on a mobile device with Internet access. If you’re currently a guest with Extended Stay America, just log-in to our free wi-fi on your mobile device to begin the process. If you don't have a mobile device, many public libraries will allow you to use their computers with free internet access.
