The Best Chili Recipe to Make in Your Hotel Suite Kitchen

Ring in the cool fall weather with the best homemade chili. Cook it in your fully equipped kitchen at Extended Stay America for the perfect autumn meal.

Ingredients for chili:

  • 1 can of diced tomatoes
  • 2 cans of chili beans
  • 1 onion
  • ground beef
  • chili powder
  • paprika

Optional toppings:

  • sour cream
  • sharp cheddar cheese
  • crackers

Directions:

  1. Go to the nearest grocery store and pick up the above ingredients. Bring to your Extended Stay America suite and wash your hands.
  2. Place your pot on the stovetop. If there isn’t a pot already in your hotel room, request one from the front desk.
  3. Bring pot to medium heat.
  4. Add ground beef to pot and break into smaller pieces. Add diced onion to the pot.
  5. Cook until meat is brown, stirring until evenly cooked.
  6. Drain the grease into paper towels and put in trash. *do not pour grease down the sink.
  7. Add cans of diced tomatoes and beans, chili powder and paprika to the pot and mix everything together.
  8. Bring mixture to a boil, then reduce heat.
  9. Cover the pot and let cook for 20 minutes. Then remove from heat.
  10. Serve your chili in a bowl and top as desired. We recommend topping with crackers, sour cream and shredded cheese.
