- Read a book. Stop by a local library, thrift store or bookstore and pick up a few books that interest you. Slip into cozy pajamas, brew some hot tea and relax in your hotel suite with your new book. Reading is a great way to expand vocabulary, improve memory and distract yourself from stressors.
- Put together a jigsaw puzzle. Pick up a jigsaw puzzle from a bargain store, thrift shop or online. You can find puzzles with various piece counts and sizes to fit the needs of everyone. Do a floor puzzle with your children or do a more advanced jigsaw puzzle on the counter or flexible workspace in your hotel room.
- Do a yoga flow. Start your day off on the right foot with some mindfulness and yoga. This form of exercise is great for your mental well-being and requires little to no equipment. Look up yoga flows on YouTube or make up your own. Focus on your breathing and body movements.
- Crochet something cozy. Looking for a way to do something that is productive yet relaxing and doesn’t require a lot of energy? Once you learn to crochet, it’s a relatively simple and soothing activity. Supplies needed are minimal and you can make yourself a sweater, scarf or blanket.
